Heya folks,

Star Wars The Old Republic is coming in a few days. Anyone who is planning on playing might want to speak up. Lachrymator is confirmed to be playing, so if you want, let him know so you can coordinate.

I'm still not 100% sure I'll be playing SWTOR just because my job really is starting to consume more of my time. But my wife and I are considering it. We will post it up as soon as we decide.

Guild Wars 2 went into closed beta and it is right around the corner. I will for sure be picking that one up mostly because it is more befitting of my time requirements. No monthly fee and no xp/gear grind is a huge selling point for me right now.

Anyways, stay tuned.

  Lachrymator: Thats supposedly what Bioware is going to do with swtor even though they said they weren't gonna announce a release date till during or after the current phase of testing, then they annouced it before this testing phase even started.
  Kro Magnon: Im sure if they find bugs during beta, that they will postpone release and get them fixed though. They seem very ok with delaying release until the game is on point
  Lachrymator: I joined up with a guild that a friend at work is in and it turns out one of the guys in the guild hangs out and is friends with the CEO of bioware.
  Lachrymator: swtor have been running a few concurrent beta tests they have the main group then they are bringing in other groups to test on other servers for focus testing
  Lachrymator: hmm stresstest over bug test that sounds kinda arrogant to me but if its like gw1 then it should be fairly easy to patch out bugs once its live
  Kro Magnon: I do remember reading somewhere on their site that they plan for the beta to be short too. They want to get most of the game cleaned up before beta and that beta will be more a stress test than a bug fix
