I just got an invite for this weekends beta event i'll post some updates this weekend and tell you what I think of it.

Next Beta event is Dec 28th to the 31st beyond me why they are doing this one during the week unless they are purposly aiming ant kids being out of school will be able to play both factions and it willl have PvP goodness in it too.

Man the effin download keeps failing. It was doing that last event too. I leave my computer on all night and the download fails after 300 megs.... Left it on all day today...failed after 1.3 gigs.

I decided to uninstall it last time cause my SSD is running out of space, so I installed this time on my storage drive. So I had to start over. Gonna be getting a 128 gig SSD sometime soon.

At this rate, I'll have the game 30 minutes before the event ends...

Hmm odd i haven't had any issues with downloading it even patching right before and during the events haven't been bad at all for me.

Yeah I don't know wtf is going on. Now the download decided to start over....even though there is 6.5 gigs in the RIFT folder.

Is it supposed to download the whole game every time there is a change to the beta event? I found 3 folders in the RIFT/download folder each marked as different beta version numbers. If so, I'm definitely effed cause I only have 1.5mbit DSL at my new house.

Seems like I'm not going to get to test this game out lol.

There were some big changes this past time i had to download 2 gigs to the client that i used from the second event.

Theres another event coming up this week end I hope you can get patched up for this one kro.Rimwin you get to try it out at all?

Release date has also been finalized march 1st pre orders are up you can get a digital download right from trion, has a headstart free goodies blah blah blah.
